The high efficiency of the ceramic system offers superior heat and moisture retention over standard cookers.  Primo’s unique patented oval design also allows for you to cook using both direct and indirect methods at the same time! Using their exclusive firebox divider plate, you can cook a steak with direct heat on one side and chicken with indirect heat on the other side.   The Primo Oval XL comes with 400 square inches of cooking surface standard, but with the addition of their optional extended cooking racks you can increase the cooking surface to 680 square inches.  This easily makes this cooker the largest, multi-tiered cooking surface on the ceramic cooker market today.  The extended cooking racks not only expand the overall capacity but they also allow for four independent cooking zones.  Another Primo exclusive!

Primo’s high quality ceramic frame stands up against the most extreme cooking temperatures and weather conditions.  Being 60% more efficient than competing cookers means you will use less charcoal than the other guys, but it also  means you will be able to easily cook in the middle of winter and have no problem keeping the cooking temperature steady.
